One more thing, i just attached one external sata drive and install the mac os El Capitan on this sata. where there i live have no apple services or any experts. Really will be grateful to you guys for helping me out. just software issues.Ĭan anyone help me please what to do next? i dont have any enclosure to attach this ssd with any other working computer and check or delete the partition table by fdisk. I am sure that nothing happens with my SSD. everything is working fine.Īs i insert back the SSD in to its pcie slot again no booting. Then i insert the bootable USB and tried option key. it gives me blinking folder icon with question mark. same grey screen after chimmm sound no progress no icon. Than i open the backcover and remove the battery grip connected to logic board. Holding the CMD+R to go to recovery by internet. Gone through the blogs, tried so may keys combinations by resetting the ram, holding the CTRL+Option + P + R no luck. I removed all connected devices usbs etc.
it gives chimm sound and then screen seems like grey but no logo or mark nothing happens. I didnt see any logo any icon after this step.Īs i turn on the macbook. i turn off the macbook by holding the power key. Here after i didnt see any movement for long time like 5 mints waiting. it copied all the files and then it restarts it self complete the installation. so i delete the bootcamp (here i get confused did i delete the bootcamp or Macintosh because both drives were same sizes and it was not showing the drive names.)Īnyway i assume one of them as bootcamp and deleted and windows format this drive and installation goes on. during installation i tried to chose the bootcamp disk i created as exFat in mac os. I chose Windows and installation goes on. there i see drive Macintosh and Windows and EFI. and inserted to macbook and start the installation by holding the option key after chimmm sound of macbook.

Than i again make windows 10 bootable usb from my surface pro4. Macintosh 100GB (Mac OS Extended - Journaled)ĭata Disk (rest of the space also format as ExFat) Than i use disk utility and make these partitions on (Apple Partition Map) after that i tried to open the bootcamp assistant it said please wait since the disks are being encrypted. and enabled the FileVault and all the options it asked for during installation. I made bootable USB of EL Capitan, and installed it. but yesterday night, i planned to reinstall the system as following steps. I have MacBook Pro Retina 15" Late 2012, it was customized design. Is there any chance that FileVault messed things up? My SSD might be broken but I doubt it because I haven't had disk broken problems for so many years with this laptop and my previous laptops. How can I fix this? For further info, when I upgraded the OS, I remember there was a prompt to encrypt the disk with FileVault and I clicked Yes.

I restarted and hit CMD+R to boot to recovery mode and used Disk Utility but it can't recognize the SSD (it doesnt show in the left box where hard drivers are listed).
I restarted my mac but it is unable to boot, after awhile, it showed a white screen with a folder (with question mark) icon in the center of the screen. It hanged infinitely after I enter my password. Today when I open it, I couldn't login to the OS. Last night I upgraded my OS to El Capitan, it worked fine then I sleep my mac. I have been using it without any problem for almost 4 years now. I replaced the DVD disk with an 256GB OCZ SSD and I made that SSD my boot driver.
